Allied Quickres
Allied Associates Geophysical Ltd has designed a resistivity imaging
system operating at very high speeds. QuickRes has been
designed as a fully automated, PC controlled Resistivity Meter for
use in a number of controlled environments where fast electrode
switching times are essential, such as labortorary tests for studying
the movement of pollutant plumes. Speed of acquisition is
paramount to avoid data blurring and to maximise the number of
data sets that can be taken during a test. QuickRes takes just 64
seconds to acquire a set of 650 measurements.
The bespoke windows data acquisition software allows automatic creation of command files, automatic generation of .RES and .DAT
files (the latter in the correct format for RES2DINV) and automatic unattended repetition of array scans.
