The Recently Introduced GSSI Pathfinder 3-D Utility Detection System

Allied Associates in addition to selling the Pathfinder are the only company in the world to offer the pathfinder for both sale and rental. Supplied with GPS, Laser and survey wheel positing, this state of the art Utility detection system can be offered for hire with operator to assist with data collection and customer training.

The GSSI Pathfinder is designed for fast and accurate 3-D mapping,
of pipes and other underground utilities. The antenna array continuously collects multiple polarization subsurface data which improves target detection capability and resolution of closely spaced utilities. Assisted by the positioning system, the processing software automatically assembles survey lines into a 3-D model of the surveyed area during data collection. As soon as a survey is complete, it can be viewed in a full 3-D cube to track targets.

All the radar hardware is contained in a wheel-mounted assembly, removing the need for additional cables or battery box’s, which would otherwise hamper data collection in this application.

The operator controls the system and collects data using either the compact wearable PC with heads-up display or the Toughbook mounted on the main handle.
