Magnetics
Magnetics has been a fundamental technique in geophysics for many years,
however the measurement of magnetic anomalies has changed drastically
in the commercial world with the recent developments in sensor technology.
Initially +/- 1 or 2 gamma was seen as acceptable quality in the days
of the proton sensors, however today 0.01nT is commonplace with Caesium
Vapour technology being deployed for applications stretching from archaeology,
to UXO through to pipeline surveys.
