Detection of ferromagnetic UXO (unexploded ordnance)

Detection, localisation and mapping of unexploded ammunition, explosives and chemical pollutants in ferromagnetic containers or with ferromagnetic constituents.
  The FOERSTER FEREX product line is used the world over for this. These detectors number amongst the most modern hand-held detectors for underground, underwater and in-borehole detection and for vehicle-aided detection.



FEREX® 4.032 (MK 26 MOD1)

A fully revised generation of FEREX instruments for detection of ferromagnetic objects, based on the superior sensor technology of the FEREX 4.021 (Mk 26).
The essential features are as follows:

  • Maintenance-free sensor tensioning strap technology, adjusted for life
  • High detection sensitivity owing to the performance-enhancing, larger base clearances of the differential magnetometer
  • 8 linear measuring ranges; one logarithmic measuring range; resolution 0.3 nT
  • 6 operating modes, i.e. detection which can be adapted to the detection task by signal filtration
  • This is one of the lightest, hand-held detectors in its performance class: the ready-to-use instrument weighs only approx. 4 kg
  • Fast assembly, easy handling and operation.

To further assist the deployment of multi-channel configurations, Foerster have introduced a wheeled option (3738.JPG) as pictured which greatly improves deployment when using as 3 or 4 channels. The added benefit if the wheel allows for automatic fix marks in the data.

A further benefit of the Foerster equipment is its ability to be used in boreholes. (mod.jpg). The standard fluxgate gradiometer probe is used in conjunction with a dedicated cable and used to locate metallic object close to boreholes.
