Crosshole Shear Wave Hammer

1The crossshole shearwave hammer system is a hydraulically activated devise designed to generate vertically polarized shear waves inside a borehole. A hand pump on the surface allows locking plates to extend clamping the hammer system to the borehole walls. This facilitates the upward or downward travel of the hammer body by way of a hoist cable, generating shear waves. A trigger switch positioned on the hammer activates the seismograph.
